Let me teach a quick lesson on focus.
I received an email from nextinternetmillioanire.com the day before we left for Disneyworld last month. I’m not sure why I received the email so late, but I had one day to get my video completed and sent in. As I mentioned, we were leaving for Disney the next day and oh by the way, two of our daughters had strep throat and the other had a fever of 103 degrees. After Angela got back from the doctor’s office (for the second time in three days), she relieved me of my baby-sitting duties so I could go make the first video you saw on you tube.
I ran up to our church and asked my friend Matt Ball to shoot the video. No rehearsals, one take. I had nothing written down but it didn’t matter. When the message is in your heart it is never far away. I know exactly what I am going to say everytime I speak because it has been inside me for so long. We recorded the video and Matt uploaded it to Youtube. I flew to Disney the next day with the family and the voting began the following week.
I was notified over this past weekend that I had made it to the top 50. I was in Philadelphia at an Internet marketing seminar. They had a video company inside the hotel so I took advantage of the opportunity. I had one day to shoot the video but no appointment set with the video company. They said “If you can do it in one take we’ll shoot the video, we have a waiting list of folks who we need to take care of.”
No problem. The message is in my heart. Inside the word heart is EAR. I can hear everything in my heart and it’s a breeze to communicate that message. I asked if we could have a cool backdrop. They told me to look through a book of backdrops, but we were limited on time. I saw a football stadium and said “That’s it, let’s roll.” One take, done. We finished the video, I asked if they could upload it to Youtube and they obliged. And that is the video you are voting on today.
