Take My Dream, Please
Imagine this scene.
You are sitting in your living room watching television when you hear someone break down your front door. They trample through your hallway on their way to where you are sitting. They say “Excuse me, but I’m here to steal your electronic equipment. You can sit there, but we’ll be disconnecting your television in just a minute and then will be removing it from the living room.”
They continue,
“Next, we will be taking your stereo, and then proceed upstairs to remove all of your jewlery. It shouldn’t take too long so just hang with us ok? By the way, can you make us some lemonade, we’ll be working up quite a thirst.” And you just sit there letting it all happen.
If you’re laughing right now, you may not laugh for long when I tell you that you allow this to happen most days of your life. However, instead of people stealing your television and stereo equipment, they are stealing your dreams. Most people allow others to come into their lives and speak negative words into their spirit which plants a seed. The seed it plants may not harvest right away, but over time it does and you see the effects on millions of champions worldwide. How else do you explain an eight year old child’s exuberance turned sour by the age of 30? The 8 year old champion over time, allowed the wrong messages to enter their spirit.
If you’re currently hanging around people who are stealing from you, move away. Take charge of your life. If you currently earn $40,000 per year, start hanging around people who earn $200,000 a year. Why? Because they think differently than you do and have found a way to parlay their knowledge into success. Be careful however, don’t measure success by money alone. Make sure these peolpe earning 5 times as much as you are also giving five times as much as you. If they are not big givers, then you need to move away just as quickly. Making money to keep it all is one of the biggest sins known to man.
Let me ask you a question. Do you think that person who earns five times as much as you do is really five times smarter? The answer is no. So find out what they did to build the gap, then take notes and take action. Your success starts with what is between your ears. Dream big and take massive action. Protect your dream just like you would your own property.
