Everyday is Saturday

I spoke to one of my coaching clients yesterday, Brian McElroy. I first met Brian a few months ago when he sent me an email thanking me for all the motivation and inspiration I put out there at no cost for people to tap into.

At the time he was livng in a 600 sq ft (maybe 400 sq ft) apartment in Harlem trying to raise money for a Haitian organization he is very passionate about. We began coaching around mid-July. Brian was also trying to cut his teeth in Internet marketing and learning the art of copywriting.

I helped him break through some barriers and to lead the charge in his fundraising campaign while he followed his dream of Internet marketing. When I moved to PA, we lost touch for a few weeks but have managed to communicate often on the phone and through email.

In noticed a major change in Brian over the past eight weeks. Aside from the obvious changes that he was now emailing and calling me from places like Miami Beach, Va Beach, California and Idaho - Brian was building excellent relationships with people in the Internet marketing community. He was also staying true to his committment to the Haitain community to raise funds for The UNIF USA Foundation. You can read more about the foundation here www.UNIFUSA.org.

Fast forward to yesterday when I received an email from Brian letting me know that he and his new Internet partners just earned over $30,000 in less than 8 hours with an online promotion! You read the amount correctly $30,000 in 8 hrs.

I am so proud of Brian because he did what most never do - he took action. He didn’t sit around all day wondering why other people realize their dream and he doesn’t. He didn’t visit forums all day and talk about the weather, current events or other wastes of time while life was going on around him. Brian took action, earned $30K in 8 hrs and will no doubt use that money to bless thousands of people who need it.

I have no idea where Brian is today, probably on a beach with his laptop setting up another business venture to earn cash so he can keep it flowing, what an awesome story. We exchanged emails yesterday and I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of Brian and his accomplishments in such a short period of time. I will be lending my services to Brian to help raise the additional money needed to fund his charity, truth be told, he probably needs me alot less now than he did three months ago.

It’s amazing what can happen to people who take the necessary action required. I’m sure Brian would be the first to tell you that he isn’t any smarter than you, didn’t have any more money than you, isn’t better looking than you and wasn’t any more well-connected than you. He just took action.
