The past two months have been a blur and I couldn’t be happier. As I sit and update my blog for the first time in a while, I have to take a deep breath and appreciate all that has happened.
I have been hard at work on my ‘6 Days To Saturday’ program which will be marketed January 1st worldwide (sooner to EDIS champions). It’s a six CD program and companion workbook (approx 40 pages) which will guide dreamers and do’ers alike thorugh the process of making every day Saturday. The workbook will be a treasue chest of my most prized intellectual property and will help in the explosive growth of many who choose to implement the teachings.
I have put every ounce of energy and passion into this product and now that it is almost completed, I am anxious to get this information out to the masses. I will be offering a sneak peak at the audio version in the near future, once we have edited and recorded the master files. Stay tuned for more announcements on my blog and podcasts…
Speaking of blogs, podcasts, teleseminars and such - we purposely halted these in order to reshape the business. I have taken on equity partners in the business ( a story in and of itself which I will be sharing with EDIS members ) which caused us to put the brakes on until the ink was dry on the new business agreement. I speak often about the power of ‘your story’ and lead by example by sharing mine with anyone who will listen. The latest version of events is the best thus far!
Looking Back…
Few gave me a fighting chance two years ago when I said I was going to ‘make every day Saturday’ and build a business model around the concept. Many of my former friends found all the reasons why it would not work and thought for sure they would see me back in a corporate role of some type. Let me tell you, it has not been easy but I wouldn’t trade one day in the past 24 months for anything.
Let me ask you a question: Do you sometimes feel as though the deck may be stacked against you? Do you feel as though you’re the only one that gets it? Do you think “Is everyone around me nuts? Why are they settling for mediocrity?”
My advice to you is simply focus on the 200 ft of road ahead of you. Similar to when you are leaving a restaurant late at night. It’s dark, a little foggy and you can’t see a thing until you turn your headlights on. Once the lights are on, you can see clearly but for only a couple hundred feet. Perfect. That’s all you need to see for now, looking too far into the future will distract from what you need to do today. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t be concerned with what lies ahead 3-6 months from now, but most of your focus should be today. What are you going to do today to make a difference?
Keep focused on what is directly in front of you on the road to Saturday. Others will give you advice on how to run your business ( they always do) but that’s just the noise. If your windows are down in the car and you can hear all that wind coming through the driver’s side, that’s all your friends and family giving their opinions on you and your journey.
Roll the window up and tune out the noise. Secure advice from your mastermind team (I’d be happy to help) which is made up of successful people who have been where you want to go. Be very careful who you share your vision with, many will not understand. I remember getting advice from someone when I lauched EverydayIsSaturday.com. He said “You know something Sam, people really don’t want advice on how to live their life.” He was right, to a certain extent. People didn’t want advice from him because he was overweight, stressed out, unbalanced with his family/work life and was a slave to his job, finances, and work relationships. His life was a train wreck and he was a heart attack waiting to happen. I thanked him for his concern and laughed all the way to the stage, rolling up the window on the road to Saturday.
Take some time today to map out your journey.
Who is in the car with you? Who is alongside the car trying to get in? Where are you going? Why are you going there? Is it your passion? Can you feed your family until you get there? Will you be adding significant value on the way? Does the thought of your goal/dream make you a bit woozy?
Androids who go to work each day hating their life, boss, etc never have that feeling. They are void of dreams because someone told them not to dream. Someone peformed heart sugery on them and were not qulaified to do so. Someone gave them the same advice someone tried to give me two years ago until I rolled my window up while they were still speaking.
As we roll out the new Everyday Is Saturday site soon, I want to invite you to get totally immersed in the message. I don’t care if you have a job or a business - all I ask is that you have a dream. EverydayIsSaturday.com as you know it now will be gone. The new site will be be a motivational Taj Mahal built by it’s membership (you). I have been working tirelessly the past eight weeks to ensure the right people are on the EDIS bus and the wrong ones are not. We are about to explode onto the personal development scene (again) and I must say, I have that woozy feeling I had two years ago.
If you’re not growing, you’re dying.
Stay focused on the 200 feet in front of you. Do something today that you would not have normally done. Walk or run one more mile today. Journal what your life will look like one year from now. Post it on my blog! Take ownership of your dream. I’m curious, do you have the courage to post your dream on my blog? OF COURSE YOU DO!
I’m the person you WANT to tell that dream to. I promise I will not repsond with “Nobody wants to hear that….” Quite the contrary. I’ll encourage you to get going today, people need what you have!
Just make sure that your dream is large enough that you get that ‘woozy’ feeling just thinking about it.
You are a Champion
Sam
