You Have Tremendous Value

March 27th, 2008

Today’s Everyday Is Saturday Show was recorded LIVE In Atlanta, GA.

The title of today’s show is “You Have Tremendouse Value.” I truly believe ( and my coaching clients will attest) that you can replace your annual income and turn it into your monthly income. I did and you can do the same - but I cannot make you believe it, it’s up to you.

A friend of mine called me late yesterday excited about his new salary increase and stock options he was given at his corporate j-o-b. He was excited, that is until I explained that he received an $8.68/ hr raise.

Listen to the entire 6 minute podcast Here.

You Are A Champion.

Sam Crowley LIVE From Atlanta, GA

March 26th, 2008

I arrived in Atlanta today around 2:30pm after an awesome flight in from Buffalo, NY. As I walked over to Ruby Tuesday’s around 3pm for a late lunch, I asked myself why it was I lived in the northeast?? It’s 70 degrees and sunny without a cloud in the sky!

I’m in town Wednesday through Sunday to speak at John Di Lemme’s Main Event with Dr John Maxwell, Coach Ken Carter, Loral Langemeier and many more. It’s a three day event which has been sold out for weeks and will no doubt change the lives of all several hundred champions in attendance.

I will be the MC which means two things: 1) I’ll be the only guy dressed in a tuxedo for three straight days and 2) I’ll be the only one speaking from stage all three days - not bad for an ex-stutterer. I haven’t been this fired up in quite some time!

What a crazy start to 2008.

Michael Cheney, Matt Mazur and myself launched the VERY controversial site www.LieOfAttraction yesterday. All three of us are financially free and are tired of seeing people buying into this law of attraction crap. I do subscribe to the logic that you find yourself in situations by how you think and who you surround yourself with, however, I’ll be darned if I sit and listen to “Johnny with the maxed out credit cards” posting on forums about how he manifested a front row parking spot at Kroger’s by thinking about it. Come on!

Go to www.LieOfAttraction.com and get the free “antidote” for the Big Lie.

It’s 5:30pm ESt and I’m meeting with a fellow investor in a land devlopment deal we’re involved with in the state of Alabama - Gulf Shores. This morning started with a meeting with my new property manager. He’s been on the job for two weeks and I’m already giving him the keys to all 47 units and no supervision. Managing people is pretty easy when you hire the right team. I’m confident in his ability to run the show in my absence. If you can’t leave town for five days then you really don’t own a business - the business owns you. What’s the worst that can happen anyway? Time to relax and focus on tonight’s meeting as well as the Main Event this weekend. If you’re in the area, it’s not too late to make an appearance. Send an email to my assisstant Melissa at info@everydayissaturday.com with the subject “I Want In The Main Event” and we’ll pull the necessary strings. Click Here for a full preview of the event.

If you’ve sent an email in the past four weeks inquiring about one-on-one coaching, we will be opening a few slots May 1st for select champions who want to be financially free. send Melissa an email at the address I just gave and we’ll call you with more details on the Saturday Lifestyle Coaching Program. You can also reach us on the Champion Hotline 888-311-EDIS (3347).

Fired Up to be in the capital of the South.

More to come with photos of champions from all around the world.

Stay focused on your dream and never let anyone tell you EVERYDAY cannot be Saturday!

You are a Champion!

There Is No Big Bang Theory For Success

March 17th, 2008

The # 1 question asked of me: How do I make the leap from corporate slave to full time human being, living the life I love?

First of all, it is not a leap. It is a gradual change in your belief that you are indeed special and capable of doing awesome, unbelivebale things with your life. But don’t look to anyone around you at work for this type of guidance. It is very unusual ( read the “Salmon Lesson” in my e book for more clarity).

Most people spend $100K on an education to prepare them to get the best job and work for someone else the rest of their life. Entrepreneurs like myself, coach people to own businesses versus working for businesses. Would you rather flip burgers and yell “fries are up!” or would you prefer to actully own the fast food store? It’s a silly quesiton but most simply cannot see themselves as successful entrepreneurs. An oh by the way, just because you wear and suit and tie to work doesn’t mean you’re any different than the Whopper Floppers. Take out “Fries are up!” and insert “Here’s your report boss.”

So what makes someone take the big leap from slave to a job to freedom for life?

Change your thoughts.

Stop associating with people who have limiting beliefs. If you’re going to lunch with people who have maxed out credit cards, smoke, drink or cheat on their spouse - run for the hills. Devleop a belief system that you YES YOU can change your life right now. Start believing. Without the proper thought process you can forget about taking action, you will be stifled by your negative thoughts.

My three favorite books to help anyone on their way to living the life they love and making that gradual change from stressed out slave to Champion are: Rich Dad Poor Dad, Think And Grow Rich and Richest Man In Babylon. I still refer to these three classics when I am seeking wisdom.

Remember, it’s not a huge one time leap into the success arena. It is slow methodical daily action steps that after awhile, you look back and say “Wow, I made it! The journey seemed so long and difficult while I was in it but as I look back it really wasn’t that bad.” Then you transfer that knowledge to someone else who is ready to receive. Giving starts the receiving process.

You are a champion.

P.S. Will I see you next week in Atlanta at The Main Event? Click Here to see the all-star lineup of speakers who will absolutely change your thought life!

The Best Things In Life Are Free

March 5th, 2008

I was in Clarion, PA last night watching my alama mater (my only alma mater by the way, I struggled to get through two years of college) The Bradford Owls, kick butt in a high school basketball playoff game. I rode to the game with family friends from my childhood and saw many people I grew up with in Bradford.

The game was awesome, the kids played hard and the city of Bradford was well-represented by it’s community. The fans rallied behind the team as they won another state playoff game, on their way to State College, PA Friday night for the state quarterfinal.

The entire evening reminded me that the best things in life free. From the beautiful two hour drive through the Allegany National Forest and the timeless PA country roads, to warm people who are proud of their small town.

It prompted today’s Everyday Is Saturday Show.

Give it a listen and see if all your material possessions can amount to one night with friends and family.

Head on over now to The Everyday Is Saturday Show.

New Format For The Everyday Is Saturday Show

March 4th, 2008

In a goal to produce more quality content more frequently, I will be condensing The Everyday Is Saturday Show into 5-6 minutes, versus the current 18-21 minute format.

It will allow me to create more podcasts because of the length of time and allow the listeners to focus on one topic at a time. Some have emailed me saying the Everyday Is Saturday shows are awesome but it’s like drinking out of a fire hose of information.

Today’s show is the first of the shorter - but more powerful- messages. It is Titled “Change Your Scene.”

Take a listen: Click Here for today’s show.

How Cold Do I Look In This Video?

February 29th, 2008

My friend Brian Rodgers asked me to create a video kicking off his 12 week success training teleseminar series. The success training is for his elite Paltinum clients and will be an incredible 12 week event. I blogged about Brian a few weeks ago, his story is one that never gets old. He’s a C- college student who runs a 22,000 membership site that helps professionals around the world manage and market their business. Brian is a multi-millionaire and a great guy to boot. I joke with Brian that I have him beat, since I only have about 30 college credits and most of those are health and gym class.

Anyway, I shot the video in my backyard in sub-zero weather. How cold do I look in this video?

I was fired up to promote the event, knowing there will be thousands of champions on the line next week.

Take a look

Roger Clemens - Say It Ain’t So…

February 26th, 2008

It looks like Roger Clemens really was at that party at Jose Canseco’s house back in 1998.
see what I’m speaking about, read the latest Clemens story Here.

Say it ain’t so Roger.

Another baseball hero is about to go down in flames, all in the name of trying to keep his perceived persona afloat. Roger Clemons wants you to believe that he is the only one Brian McNamee was lying about when asked how he injected him with steroids. Andy Pettitte admitted to it, Chuck Knoblauch admitted to it and Roger is still stone walling.

Now it seems there is a photo from that infamous party at Jose Canseco’s house from a then 11 year-old kid who was getting photos off all is heroes, one of them being Clemens. Now their is another witness who says he overheard Clemens in the clubhouse days after the party, joking about the comparisons between Canseco’s wife and his wife’s breast augmentations. Yikes!

It’s looking worse and worse for Clemons as each day goes by, which leads me to this question: “Is anyone really who they say they are anymore?” Specifically in the online world, you see so many “gurus” and people proclaiming their expertise on any subject under the sun. Seems like all you need is a website and you’re good to go - “Insta-Guru.”

My goal with Everyday Is Saturday has always been to help the corporate slave understand that a better life exists outside of their cubicle or corner office. I could not comment on any of that had I not lived it myself. I’ve had it all, lost it all, made it back again and in the meantime gained the understanding that if you have 5 friends in this world you should consider yourself the luckiest person alive. I also know that each and every day is a gift and can indeed be “Saturday.” I teach all over the world and have been paid thousands to coach people who want the blueprint. There’s no way I could sleep at night if I felt the least bit like a sham. Unfortunately, these athletes don’t feel the same way.

Athletes on steroids want you to believe it’s all natural; a by-product of hard work. I even argued in defense of Clemen’s contract last year with the Yankees, check the archives on this blog. I thought if this guy kept himself in such great shape in his mid-40’s, he deserves to be paid $17 million for a half season of baseball. Duped again. It looks like Roger is as guilty as Bonds, Palmeiro, Giambi, Pettitte and the rest of the ‘roiders.’

Every now and again I’ll get a comment like: “Sam, you sound angry when you speak about living the life you love and all that happened along the way.” Not angry, just focused. I have seen so many, I mean SO many phonies, that I seldom give anyone the benefit of the doubt anymore unless they can prove it. I challenge champions-in-the-making to blaze their opwn trail and get hold of quality mentors. Fortunately, there are people who ahev walked the walked but you have to do your due diligence and make sure they are who they say they are.

Just six months ago, most baseball fans would’ve referred to Roger Clemens as a “First ballot Hall of Famer.” Now he may be referred to as anything but that. Some may call him, liar, cheater, druggie, etc. What a difference a year makes. Be careful who you look up to and who you choose to follow. If they are more sizzle than steak, you risk being let down in a big way.

You are a champion.

Rich Dad Poor Dad - The Book That Changed My Mindset

February 26th, 2008

The first book I ever read about how to become financially free was Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. It was the summer of 2002 and I was attending my first real estate boot camp held in Cincinnati, OH. The event went from Friday through Sunday and was loaded with tips on how to use real estate as a vehicle to retire young and retire rich.

I took notes like I had a gun to my head because the discussions and techniques were so new and by the way, so awesome! After our final break of the day, the instructor taught the last hour or so about mindset and how it is the first place you need to start if you want to truly experience the life you love.

He recommended a few books for us to read over the weekend to get our mind in the proper mindset to begin our real estate investing career. One of those books was Rich Dad Poor Dad. I remember stopping at the bookstore on the way home and buying the book. I began reading it that night and finished by the end of the day Sunday. People who know me laugh when they hear that story because I was the furthest thing from a voracious reader at the time. Besides the sports section, I had not sat down to read much of anything.

I couldn’t put the book down. Kiyosaki described his two dad’s in the book. One was his real dad who worked for the state of Hawaii as a teacher, well-educated and full of book smarts. His other dad was his rich dad who was not well-educated but was very wealthy.

Kiyosaki described the huge differences between the two which all began with their mindset. Paraphrasing one of the excerpts from the book: ” My poor dad taught me to get a good education so I could work for a good company. My rich dad taught me to learn about business and the power of money so I could buy the comapny of my choice. Two completely different angles on how to live the life you love. Spend $150K on a college education and go work for the next 40 years or invest in yourself, learn how to buy a business and earn profits instead of wages.

I tell people everywhere how Rich Dad Poor Dad changed my thinking and subsequently my life. I was off to the races on exiting the worst race of all - the rat race- by the age of 40. I no longer would settle for the status quo and listen to broke people trying to give me financial advice. I bought my first rental property a month later with a credit card and the rest is history.

You can change your circumstances right now if you really want to, the problem is most will not even try because of fear. Sir Isaac Newton’s principle that “a body at rest tends to remain at rest and a body in motion tends to remain in motion” is so true. Once you take the first step towards your dream you have begun the process. I recommend personal development for the mind because I know how powerful is was for me. You have to begin with the six inches between your ears, your brain needs to be programmed away from all the negativity that’s been pumped into it all these years.

You are a champion.

The Job Security Blueprint

February 17th, 2008

If you just can’t see yourself going off on your own and living life on your terms, here is a great blueprint for a life of security. Since it’s the weekend, I wanted to post this because some people, believe it or not, are actually putting in some extra time at work this weekend. Are they being compensated for their extra time? No way. What is the price you put on time away from your family or favorite hobby? That is part of my “Security Blueprint.” I will be sharing just one step from this blurprint today.

Step One: Work Weekends - This is a surefire way to impress the boss. You will not accomplish one thing that you could not have done during the week but that doesn’t matter. Bosses love to see their slaves in the camp after hours. It gives the boss a sense of power that they can actually make another human being do something they don’t want to, as well as making you look good. Unfortunately, you look like a moron because you couldn’t get the job done in your normal 50 hour work week, but who cares - the boss doesn’t view it that way - remember, he’s a slave too.

In my former life, I would challenge the ‘working weekends” philosophy when I received my second managerial promotion. Prior to my promotion, we would bring employees in on Saturdays, buy bagels, doughnuts and coffee for them and then report back to the powers to be that we worked an extra day, which certainly translated to more production. Here was the reality. Everyone came in, ate all the food, socialized for a few hours, played online, pushed some paper, waited for any sign of the first person to leave and then jumped in their car and went home. How can you blame them, they just worked an entire week, who wants to come back on a Satrurday? Good news for them: free breakfast. Bad news for company: no production. I said “Uh, let’s just get more out of our regular work week and lose the weekends.” Most agreed, some old-timers were reluctant. Who cared really, as long as quotas were being met. After the dust settled, our prodcution was better and employees were happy to be with their families on the weekend.

Corporate Slave Tip: If you do go into the office on the weekend, be sure to send an email to someone. Emails are awesome because they are time stamped and verify you were in your hole working away. Be sure to copy as many upper level managers as possible on your emails. Is it brown-nosing? Absolutely. What the hell do you care? Get that email out first thing Saturday morning and copy everyone from your boss to the CEO’s wife on your correspondance. I’ve seen this done by slaves for years. I’ve had guys send me more emails on a Sunday than they did the previous week combined. I would always check the CC box and see every manager in the company on the list - awesome! The person sending the email looked like my old dog Petey when he found his bone I hid on him - seeking my approval - but again, who cares. Managers don’t care about what employees think, they care about what the boss thinks. And remember, the boss has been playing this game much longer, hence he is almost expecting weekend emails as he checks them on his Blackberry from his son’s soccer game.

I actually asked a manager who was a chronic weekend emailer this question “Why so many emails on Sunday? Don’t you want to see your family versus coming into the office to send emails?” His reply ” It’s no big deal, I had to come in anyway to get some work done .” Lord help us…

Now you may be thinking, all this weekend work is a pain. And you would be right. But look at it this way: You don’t have to go out on your own and actually do anything. You don’t have to be great or help anyone outside of yourself. All you have to do is look out for you and stay one step ahead of the boss. If the boss sees you emailing him like a new mate you found on a dating site, that’s all you need. All you have to do is keep the weekend stuff up until retirement and you are free to enjoy the worst years of your life after your back pain and arthritis sets in. You’ll have your pension (which isn’t worth half of what it should be) and your 401k ( which is indexed to the stock market - that’s safe) to get you through the next five years. Five years is all you’ll need because you are in the highest risk group there is: high stress, no exercise, coffee chugging, fast food eating slave to a job.

And there you have it - the ultimate Security Blueprint.

Enjoy your weekend.

Sam
