Shed The Label And Move Towards Success

May 5, 2007, Category: Personal Development

Have you been labeled?

Has someone explained to you that they have “identified” where you best fit onto life’s puzzle? The best example of this type of profiling occurs everyday in the workforce. Managers and supervisors everywhere feel they have been annointed to determine the best fit for an indiviudal and where they can contribute the most.

Never mindĀ that most of the manager’s evaluating talent wouldn’t know success if it hit them over the head.

How about co-workers?

Have they decided for you that you shouldn’t pursue greatness because you are only this or only that? What they are really trying to say is “C’mon, you aren’t going to really talk that crazy dream stuff are you? Nobody around here has ever done that before.”

Most people not only don’t have dreams, they are insanely jealous of anyone who does. If you’re going to be great, you have to escape from the label people will try to place on you and disassociate with negative acquaintences.

The labels you should beĀ embracing are: dreamer, visionary, champion and others that say “I’m different and nobody will prevent me from living the life I love.”

One of the reason success is difficult for some is because they let the herd bring them down to their level. The good news is this: There is no competition at the top. All the competition is at the bottom of the success ladder. Once you make a decision to break away, you are well on your way to greatness.

You are a champion.
