Got Problems?

National Quit Your Job Week (doubt this actually exists but fits well with the video training series, so what the heck)

Training #2
We're back in the kitchen for our next lesson.
Why most people get taken out of the success game

We all have problems.
Look at Facebook at any given day and you'll see all the drama you need to see. People moaning and groaning about their problems, boo-hooing about how bad life has treated them.

Listen, some people learn how to grow larger than their problems and minimize the impact of adversity. As I teach in today's lesson, lack of money is the easiest problem to solve.

Got problems?
Join the club.

The real winners are the ones who rise above the problems and find solutions.

Rock On!

Quit My Job

Six years ago this week I quit my job.
So I recorded a video in my kitchen.

After leaving my six figure job of 15 yrs, I went broke.
Not cool.
Then I went back to a job for another 18 months, definitely not cool. As a matter of fact it took all I had not to have a nervous breakdown.

However, it was by far the best period of my life because of who I had to become.

If you want to have a life of freedom and have complete control over what you do and when you do it, while helping a large number of people - these next few videos are crucial.

You'll get inside my mind (a very scary place to be at times) and see the truth behind escaping the rat race for good.

Who is Mark Stowers and why should you care?

Mark is you.
I'll explain in detail why it's important for you to understand exactly what occurred in Mark's life and business over the past five months.

More and more, people are looking for legitimate solutions to their problems. They want financial and time freedom but more importantly they want to feel like they are adding value to the lives of others.

Success without fulfillment is failure.
.
Think of the 80% of of people who go to work each day all around the world who wish they were doing something different. They feel like a square peg in a round hole. The passion does not exist.

If you have no passion, your choices are: Stress of being unemployed vs. Stress of being in a dead end job. When you have passion in what you do, stress does not exist.

Mark was a unique person because he had built a business to over $1M in revenue but was still lacking the passion. Mark bought the "franchise dream" - investing in a proven business model rather than building a business from scratch.

Like millions of others who invest in a franchise, Mark wanted the entrepreneurial dream. What he found was that this approach still left a void in his life. Mark was working 80+ hrs a week and became hostage to his business.

Mark's love for his customers kept him going. He felt a sense commitment to his customer base and could not just walk away. However, each day he spent searching for his passion was a day wasted.

Can you relate to this?

Are there days when you struggle to get going in the morning?
Do you think that monetizing your passion is a pipe dream reserved for the elite?

I'll explain exactly how Mark found his passion and began the monetization process.

Note: I have hundreds of case studies like Mark. If you want to hear a great interview about this exact topic:
Go Here
It's an interview I conducted with a former coaching client who had a great job but lacked the passion. In less than two years, he found his 'Saturday' and replaced his income. Now he jumps out of bed ready to monetize his passion!

Back to the Mark Stowers Case Study...

Mark signed up for my eight week Saturday Code training last summer and began learning what it meant to find your passion and plug into a hungry market who is looking for thought leaders in your niche.

As is the case with a group coaching platform, the first training is jam packed with people eager to learn, then the numbers begin to dwindle. Life gets in the way, the hunger and pain of their current situation subsides and you're left with a few committed people. These are the ones who have drawn their line in the sand and said "No more excuses."
Mark was that individual who drew his line in the sand.

Over the course of eight weeks I taught specific principles around the topic of personal development and entrepreneurship.

Mark was always asking great questions and was soaking up the teachings like a sponge.

When the eight weeks was over, Mark was the only person who asked how he could take this to the next level and begin implementing everything he had learned in the group training.

{Stop}

Why did Mark ask this question?
Answer: Because he was in the most pain.

Ironic isn't it? The person who had the largest business was in the most pain. Mark was running a seven figure business but every day was Monday.

Saturday Principle:
When the pain of going back is greater than the pain of moving forward, that's when you have to keep moving.

So many people go back to their dead end jobs or mediocre lives because of the fear of what is behind door #1.
When fear enters the picture, logic exits.

The logical step for everyone who attended the training was to get closer to the source of momentum. To go deeper into the teachings and begin implementing everything they had learned. However, Mark was the only one who took the next step and as you are about to see, the results were amazing.

I invited Mark to come into my 90 day intensive where we would work together one-on-one. Our coaching calls would be recorded and Mark had  24 hr email support.
For 90 days, Mark was allowed NO excuses and had to take massive action.

We began where all my coaching clients begin, creating a podcast.
Why a podcast?

Creating your own online radio show does so much for you and your business.
A podcast allows you to find your voice and begin commanding attention - allowing yourself to be perceived as an expert in your niche.
Think about it: If you heard someone on the radio, would you think they were more knowledgeable than some Schmo sending you emails every day?

When you position yourself as the expert in your niche, people will follow you.
Qualifier: You have to be an expert? You can't specialize in auto repair and gain a following of gardeners.

Mark is an expert in small business development, therefore he needed to position himself as an expert in the industry. By recording podcasts on a regular basis, Mark had to come up with new information for his audience, he couldn't fake it.

Saturday Principle:
Your friends and family may be forgiving but entrepreneurship is not. You'll be exposed sooner or later. If people don't like what they see, they will keep moving. Churning and burning is a tough way to make a living.

Mark knew what he was talking about, he just needed to build his 'tribe.' Podcasting builds your tribe and your confidence at the same time.
I showed Mark all of the tips and tricks I used to launch my podcast to the top of Itunes and page one on Google for the keyword Motivational Podcast.

Like a person who really wanted to get to Saturday, Mark took the information and ran. He became a podcasting machine. As of the date of this post, Mark has close to 100 podcasts on Itunes.
One hundred podcasts!
Are you serious? This guy wants success so bad he can taste it.

I still get emails from Mark at all hours of the day thanking me. He had no idea monetizing his passion would be so exhilarating. Compare his feeling to the ones you see and hear every day.

Look at all of the androids walking the streets who have no passion. Nobody ever gave them permission to play big. Since childhood they were taught that mistakes were bad.
You don't get promotions at work if you make mistakes. Failing is frowned upon and people are encouraged to adhere to the organizational chart rather than thinking for themselves.
Stupid.

Is that how you feel?

Do you think failing is bad?
Do you have to ask permission before making a decision?
Such nonsense.

There is risk and there is risky.
There is risk involved when you get behind the wheel of an automobile. Getting behind the wheel drunk and blindfolded is risky. Entrepreneurs don't eliminate risk, they minimize it.

The thrill of the hunt is a like a drug for entrepreneurs. It's the creation of something that never existed before and now it has their name all over it.

What is it that you have been putting off, knowing damn well you need to do it? Not only do it but do it today!

For me, many years ago, I knew I had the ability to motivate, inspire and empower people. However, my talents were lying dormant inside a corporate environment. I was surrounded by people who simply wanted to make it to Friday. These people were dead at the age of 25, they were just waiting to be buried. When I would take initiative, I was met with "That's not your area, Sam. So and So is handling that..."

In 2006 I tried to convince anyone with a brain (difficult to find) that the company needed to move everything online. The old school way of doing business was over. Rather than management embracing the process, they worried aloud that I had traveled too far off the reservation.

I resigned.
They filed bankruptcy.

Myopic leadership is poison to an organization. No matter how much I jumped up and down, nobody would listen. Why? Because they were intimidated. Nobody knew what the hell I was even talking about. If I led this initiative, they had to get better or get lost.

When given the choice of getting better, most will stay behind. Why? Too much pain. Remember, the pain of moving forward is too great for most people. Subsequently, they chose to stay put and then came layoffs and Chapter 11. All of it could have been avoided if anyone would have stepped up as a leader.

I went onto to launch EverydayIsSaturday.com and the rest is history.

Mark Stowers has passed the tipping point. He has made it through a critical hurdle in the journey to Saturday. He has let go. Let go of all the worries and fear that paralyze people.

On one of our coaching calls in November, I told Mark he had to remove himself completely from the day to day operation of his 'old' business. Remember, this is the same business that generates seven figures in revenue. But it's not his Saturday. Remember what work is like without the passion, too much stress.

Mark's been on his journey to Saturday for less than six months and now has his own brand called "The Small Business Co-Pilot." He has his sales funnel in place and is helping small business owners all around the world.

Check out Mark's landing page:

Isn't it awesome!
You can see the entire page at SmallBusinessCoPilot.com

Look at how far Mark has come in a short period of time: He was on my mailing list and responded to an offer to come on one of my eight week group coaching calls. He had no brand. None, zero, nada, zilch.
He was running a seven figure business that consumed every waking hour of each day. He wanted to created something from nothing. He wanted to monetize his passion but didn't even know what he was passionate about.

Now Mark is founder of SmallBusinessCoPilot.com and is loving every minute of every day. He has an automated sales funnel that is working for him 24/7.
He has passion.

I mean....seriously.....the guy is dressed in a freaking pilot uniform for cryin out loud! How much fun do you think he his having? Let me answer that one: Mark is in heaven.
No more stress.

As a matter of fact, Mark just forwarded me an email from a person who subscribes to his podcast. The subscriber thanked Mark for being so generous in sharing his business information. The person had several questions for Mark and then thanked him once again.
Awesome.
Does it get any better than that?

Six months ago Mark and I connected. It could have gone many different ways for Mark. He could've gone back to 'default' after the training and said "There's no way I can do all of this..." But he didn't. He embraced the process and failed, made mistakes, failed again, made more mistakes....
But he never made excuses

Now Mark has his dream business and is about to explode it online, doing what he loves to do.

What do you want to do?
What is your passion?
Who or what is standing in your way?
How badly do you want it?
Do you want it bad enough to be criticized?
Are you willing to swim upstream?
Are you willing to sacrifice short term pain for long term gain?

Did this story resonate with you?

What are you going to do differently as a result of reading Mark's story?

You can do whatever you want in life. Don't let anyone or anything stand in your way. You're  a unique person with immeasurable talents. Maybe those talents have been lying dormant and you need to bring them to the surface.

Take action and create momentum today.
Become Unstoppable.

Surprises Suck

Surprise!

It's pretty cool when you're friends are all hiding in a dark living room or kitchen, waiting for you to walk in on your birthday for that BIG surprise.

Gosh, that sure is fun.

It's not really fun however, when your spouse leaves you for another, or your business goes down the tubes.

Unfortunately, if you're 100% honest about it - it really wasn't that shocking. Once you got over the anger, the sick feeling in your stomach and tried to get the license plate of the truck that ran you over - you could have guessed it would end that way.

Great news: Today's video will teach you how to end all of the ugly surprises and set you up for your best days ever!

You Cannot Fit A Big Dream Into A Small Life

We're eleven days into 2011.

So how is this year shaping up for you?

Answering: "The year is still young, I don't know yet." ...is unacceptable. You know darn well if this year is going to start off with a bang {or not}.
What kind of momentum have you created the past few weeks?

Have you been extending your network? i.e. Meeting new people online and offline who you can serve?  {notice I didn't say people who can help you make money}
I learned a long time ago that when you expand the amount of people you serve, you become more fulfilled. The money always follows as a result.

Expanding your sphere of influence doesn't have to be solely for entrepreneurs, it's just a little easier because you don't have politics, bosses, org charts or anything else standing in your way. You don't need approval to jump into the mix and make things happen.

We had a ton of comments on the last blog post titled Adversity Is A Blessing. I shared a ten minute video on how you never know the greatness that lies inside of you if you don't go through adversity.
Sometimes prosperity can hide amazing talents that would otherwise lie dormant if you didn't go through tough times.

Don't let the difficult climate prevent you from serving. As I mentioned on my last post, I launched Every Day Is Saturday a few months after filing chapter 13 bankruptcy.

I was faced with no:
Money
Network
Marketing Knowledge
Sales Funnel
Free time {until I learned how to steal time}

I asked one question: How can I serve more people?
Strange isn't it?

I was forced to go back into the workforce on a much lower pay scale and lost the corner office. Everyone thought I was on a crash course for a mid life breakdown and resigning myself to the next 20 yrs of my life as an employee.

What nobody realized was that my mind was working in the complete opposite manner. I felt relieved that I was no longer buying things I couldn't afford, with money I didn't have, to impress people I didn't even like. It felt as though a huge weight had been lifted off of my shoulders and now I could just be me.

Did others make fun of me and my dream?
Of course!
Do you honestly think that you're going to stretch yourself and go after a huge dream while average people applaud your efforts? Average people are average for a reason. They never have, nor never will stretch in order to leave a small life behind. They're content with flying below the radar and that's great news for you.
As I say over and over again There is no competition at the top.

You cannot fit a big dream into a small life.
If you're going to be unstoppable, you need to create massive momentum around one idea.
Not 100 ideas.
You don't become great by doing 100 things right. You become great by doing one thing 100 times - or more like 1,000 times until your idea fits nicely inside the huge life you've created for it.

When I left my job in May 2005 I had a 750 credit score, a ton of confidence and cash in the bank. By the end of 2005 I had a credit score of 520 and no money. But I had hope.

You can lose all the material possessions in your life but if you still have hope you're in the game. Being in the game means your vision is clear on where the next step will be. When I say 'vision' I'm talking about seeing the unseen - stepping out in faith.

You don't need a big house, nice car and fancy job title to launch something huge. None of those things matter when you make the decision to serve. As a matter of fact, they'll get in your way if your mind is not clear on who you are and where you're going. Look around at any Starbucks and you'll see men and women sipping $6 lattes, working on $3,000 computers, dressed in $1,000 suits and all of them have $10 dreams.
Their main objective is to look important while doing unimportant tasks, with the goal of serving themselves first; if there's any leftovers, they'll give the crumbs away.

When I had the least, I had the most. When I had no money I had the best friends. When I lost the title, I gained a movement called Every Day Is Saturday. I left all the plaques, ribbons & awards behind because they were an albatross around my dream. I couldn't move forward with a huge dream when I still had a small vision and in turn a small life.

If you're going through a painful season right now I want to encourage you to find one thing - just one - and shine a magnifying glass over it until it gets hot. Tune out the "Who do you think you are" voice that will undoubtedly enter your mind. You also need to rid yourself of people who unknowingly will tell you to take it slow because they "Don't want you to get your hopes up." Pure craziness. Why wouldn't you get your hopes up? Mind you, these are the same people who never could squeeze a big dream into their small life. They may have taken a shot once before and got taken out - then gave up.

Remember, when you succeed, they {the small dreamers} look bad.

You don't need money to begin your journey to freedom. Money is so easy to acquire it's not even worth talking about. When people fail it's because they haven't given themselves permission to dream big.

Focusing on past failures is a waste of time and a sure fire way to guarantee another failure. When you play the game of life tentatively, you get hurt. No different than playing a sport worrying about injury.
When you go on the attack, you raise the odds in your favor.

Believe me, success will happen for you. It's not a matter if but a matter of when. Move away from people with small dreams, they're of little help. They can commiserate with you till the cows come home but will never be the fuel you need to ignite the dream.
it's up to you to find the right network to fuel the fire.

Start serving more people NOW.
Not tomorrow or next week or next year - NOW!

So how's your year going....?
